Aaron Sylvester Wilson, "AKA Philly", 56, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 in Athens, GA. He was born on October 26, 1965, to the late, Aaron Joe Wilson and Mary Lee Walker in Philadelphia, PA. Aaron received his formal education through the public school system of Jesup, Wayne County Georgia. He was employed as a kindergarten teacher's assistant in Philadelphia and the Salvation Army. Aaron enjoyed spending time with friends, playing basketball, football and was very athletic in all sports. He was preceded in death by both parents and grandmother, Janie Walker.

Those left to cherish his memories are: his sisters, Catherine Long, Jacksonville, FL, Rose Mary Hall-Thorpe (Thomas), Philadelphia, PA, Gail Williams (Melvin) and Pastor Alberta Curry, both of Jesup, GA, Lorretta Wilson and Gwendolyn Wilson, both of Philadelphia, PA and Adriane Holmes, Brunswick, GA; brother, Thomas Guyton, Gainesville, FL and a very special brother, Dave Smoaks, Athens, GA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Royal Funeral Home, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545 from 1-3 p.m.
