Obituary for Albert "Al B. Sure" Thompson
Albert Lee Thompson was born on April 12, 1947 to the late, Henry Williams and Ella Mae Thompson in Millen, Georgia. He was educated and graduated from Burgess-Landrum High School in Millen, Ga. "Al B. Sure" as he was affectionately known by family and close friends, loved and lived life to the fullest. Much of his adult life was spent in Baltimore, Maryland. In the late 80's he returned home and worked as a contractor in the construction industry.
On Saturday, May 29, 2021, God saw fit to call Albert from labor to reward. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gilbert Thompson and Clarence Thompson, and a sister, Lee Dora Thompson. He will forever be remembered for his kind spirited ways.
He leaves to cherish his memory: two children, Shanta (Will) Searles and Walter Thompson; his brothers, Willie F . Thompson, Marvin Thompson, Johnny ( Cheryl) Thompson and Wayne ( Joanne) Thompson; his sisters, Alice ( Kenneth) Hobson and Bernice Johnson; as well as, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 04, 2021 at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, West Lincoln Street, Ludowici, Ga. from 5-7 pm.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 05, 2021 @ 11am at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Franklin St., Ludowici, Ga. 31316
