Obituary for Andrea Rawls (Pede)

Andrea Nicole Rawls “Pede” was born on August 02, 1981 in Jesup, Ga. to the late, Teresa Rawls and Noah Rawls in Jesup, Ga. Andrea, affectionately known by everyone as “Pede” was a graduate of the Wayne County High School Class of 2000. She was a member of Jesup New Life Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Bertha Cobbs and Co-Pastor Norris Fuller. Although, “Pede” did not have any biological children of her own, she had a passion for caring for kids. She took on the huge responsibility of raising Jada Nicole Reddish, as her very own. Her love for children was mind blowing. None of her siblings ever had to worry about childcare because she took excellent care of them, as if they were her very own and she chose a career of being a Paraprofessional at James E. Bacon Elementary School in Jesup, Ga. “Pede” loved braiding her kids' hair and attending to their every need, even after her regular hours of work. She loved those kids with an Agape love and the children loved her just as much, if not more than she did them. It was “Pede’s” calling on her life.

On December 15, 2022 God saw fit to call our beloved “Pede” home to be with him. She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Teresa Wallace Rawls.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her father that her heart was built upon, Noah (Margaret) Rawls; her brothers, Rodney Rawls, Lamario ( Kisha) Head, Markenkeen Cannon; her sisters, Tyra Hines, Asha Rawls, Marvion (Jakari) Eskridge; her aunts, Melba, Betty, Selda Marie and Janice Rawls; a great aunt, Janatte Tattnall; her uncles, Leonard Rawls and Theodore Rawls; like a mother, Ms. Sheila Wilson; special friends, Shequnna Akins and the Citgo Crew; her nephews, Ahmad, Ahmir and Mylan, that she treated as her own; her god children, Angelique Matos and Dentley Jones Rawls; and a host of other family members and friends that loved her dearly.
