Obituary for Angelica Foster

“For I am now ready to be offered , and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous judge shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” -II Timothy 4:6-8



Angelica Ahkilah Foster was born September 26, 1985 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Fernando A. Foster, Sr. and Marcia Foster. On Sunday, January 17, 2021 God in his infinite power called Angelica to be with him. She was preceded in death by her father, Fernando A. Foster, Sr., her aunts, Sandra F. Wright and Martha Clarke-Thompson.

Angelica was a graduate of Savannah Arts Academy. She attended Savannah State College where she studied Criminal Justice. Angelica had a kind, loving and gentle spirit and was affectionately called “Gelica” or “Gelly” by those close to her. Angelica enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the older members. She enjoyed cooking and bringing special requested dishes to family gatherings, especially her “Banana Pudding and Shrimp Potato Salad". Angelica worked for St. Joseph's Candler Medical Group, the US Post Office and was employed by Asurion Insurance Company as a Work at Home Customer Care and Sales Representative, at the time of her death.

Angelica leaves to cherish her beautiful memories her loving mother, Marcia Foster (Savannah, GA); her brothers, Fernando A. Foster (Erica) (Savannah, GA), Federico A. Foster (Savannah, GA), Demetrius Blake(Savannah, GA) and Derrick Snead (Lia) (Savannah, GA), who she called her brother; her niece, Kayla Foster and Nephews, Aaron Foster and Evan Foster (all of Savannah, GA); aunts, Jacqueline Stovall, Judy Jackson, Fannie Shaw (Cornell) (all of Jesup, GA), Mariela Colon (New York), and Graciela Clark (Republic of Panama); godmother, Dr. Shirley Eason (Savannah, GA); and godfather, T. Johnson (Savannah, GA); and many sorrowing cousins, friends and extended family.

A walk thru viewing will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021, at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 @ 11:00 a.m., at the Jesup City Cemetery, East Hwy. 84, Jesup, GA 31545.
