Obituary for Antonio "Tony" Hardee

Elder Antonio Jerrard Hardee, 32, of Hinesville, Ga. passed away on Thursday, April 01, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Under the care of Your Family Hospice of Hinesville. He was born on June 12, 1988 to Larry Vernon Harris and Brenda Hardee in Brunswick, Ga. “Tony” as he was affectionately known by his family and close friends was reared by his late grandparents, Nelson and Inez Sherman, who played a major role in the man that Tony became. He was educated in the Wayne County public school system and graduated in the Class of 2007. He was reared in the church and praising God was truly his passion. Tony was the family’s comedian and found humor in everything. Before returning home, Tony worked as a contractor for Fed Ex in Atlanta, Ga. and soon after that he was called to be the Pastor of a local church congregation in Jesup, Ga., Kingdom Builders. He will always be remembered as the loving son, father, brother, nephew and grandson. Most importantly, a strong Man of God. No matter what, he was always the life of the party and he knew how to find the best in the midst of the worst in every situation. Whatever he decided to do, he put his all into it, so when it came to the calling on his life as a Ordained Minister, he kept it 110% real, trusting God and keeping the faith, knowing that God makes no mistakes. He was a soldier until the end. Aside from his ministry, Tony enjoyed traveling, crabbing, going to the beach and spending every moment he could loving his children and spending time with his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his father, Larry Harris, Dumfries, Va.; his mother, Brenda (Bernie) Mitchell, Brunswick, Ga.; his children, Jakaylyn Hardee, Antonio Hardee, Jr., Jamier M. Hardee, all of Hinesville, Ga. and McKenzie Hardee of Columbus Ohio; his brothers, Terrell Harris, Jerrell Harris, Mario Hardee, Larry Harris, Jr., Raphael (Heather) Hardee, Quinton Harris and Justin Johnson; his sisters, Melissa (David) Thomas, Vonita (Tommie) Weatherspoon, Latrice (Casey) Williams, Shameka Hardee, Yolanda (Jorge) Lemus, Tawana Hardee (Michael) Arrington, Sonique Williams and Makayla Hendley; his only living great aunt, Mammie Robbins and a host of aunts, uncles, a special friend, Jeffery Brown, and close friends, Bishop Elect Nick Wilson, Marcus Bennett, Anthony Brown, Chaunecia McCrary, Elder Nick Ellis.; his stark supporters of his church family, Tyrone Johnson and James (Terry) Thomas and everyone that loved and prayed for him during his illness and subsequent passing.
