Obituary for Bobby Hardy
Bobby Hardy, 67, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on August 18, 2021 at Harborview Nursing Facility. He was born on June 18, 1945 to the late, Grady and Cora Lee James-Hardy in Wayne County, Ga. Bobby was educated in the Wayne County Training School and lived many years in Macon, Ga. before relocating back home. He was a member of Unity Church of God and worked with CSX Railroad until he retired.
Bobby was preceded in death by both parents, Grady and Cora Lee James-Hardy; his son, Bobby Hardy, Jr., his sisters, Rosa Kegler and Mary Stanley.
Those left to cherish his memory: his daughters, Valerie Young (Roderick Wilson), Macon, Ga. and Myeshia Hardee, Roberta, Ga.; his son, Octavius Gillard, his grandchildren, Ahmond Troutman, Tamya McKenzie, Khalia Gillard and Karmen Jones; three sisters, Dora Jones, Ludowici, Ga., Dorothy Mae Hardy, Coppell, Tx. and Bertha Smith, Jesup, Ga.; an aunt, Lucille Copeland, Surrency, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.
A walk thru viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Royal Funeral Home Chapel from 12 noon until 6 p.m.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 @ 10:00 a.m., at Sunset Oaks Memorial Cemetery, 1580 Sunset Blvd., Jesup, Ga.
Everyone planning to attend either services are asked to wear your masks to aid in the prevention and spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and observe the social distancing guidelines set by local authorities.
