Obituary for Castella Bolden (Reed)

Castella Reed Bolden, 71, of Folkston, Ga., passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020, following a lengthy illness. She was born on March 3, 1948, to the late, Freeman and Beulah Everette-Reed, Sr., in Charlton County, Ga. Castella was educated in the public school system of Charlton County. She was a faithful member of Mt. New Home Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the adult choir for many years. Castella enjoyed gardening, cooking, singing and spending time with her family and friends. Before Castella's health began to decline, she was
a former employee of Stevenson Enterprise (The Sewing Factory), but most of employable years, as a Certified Nursing Assistant with Folkston Park Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by both parents, Freeman, Sr. and Beulah Everette-Reed, a sister, Gracie Reed and her brothers, Freeman, Jr., Odum and Amos Reed.

Those left to cherish her memories: her only daughter, Donella Reed Piro, Houston, Tx.; her sister, Ruby Reed Mitchell, Folkston, Ga.; her brothers, Aldonia (Mary) Reed, Cecil (Annette) Reed, Kenneth Reed and Steve (Marilyn) Smiley, all of Folkston, Ga.; her sister in-law, Helen Reed, Folkston, Ga.; three grandchildren, Angelo Dasher, Jr. Folkston, Ga., Jimario Piro, Sr. and Stacy Piro, Jr., both of Houston, Tx.; her great grandchildren, Jimario, Jr., Jaylin, Jeorge, Jayce, Jakare and Jamal Piro all of Houston, Tx.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
