Obituary for Cheryl Jackson

Cheryl Yvonne Jackson, 64, of Jesup, Ga., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 6, 2020, at Ascension St. Vincents Hospital (Southside) in Jacksonville, Fl. She was born on January 24, 1956, to the late, Henery and Fannie B. Flowers-Lewis, in Jesup, Ga. Cheryl was educated and graduated in the Class of 1974 from Northside High School and was a member of New Hope Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by both parents, Henery and Fannie B. Flowers-Lewis; three brothers, John L. Trammell, Paul Trammel, Lonnie Flowers, and a nephew, Octavious Lewis.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband of 40 years, Sammy Lee Jackson; her children, Patrice (Rondy) Ellis, Natarsha (Stanley) Shellman, Sametheia (Timothy) McKever, Camarieo (Jessica) Jackson, Jeremy (Casheena) Jackson and Jamaal Jackson; a sister, Carolyn Lewis; a brother, David Lewis; her grandchildren, Sanari, Nekeil, Jammarriona, NaTerika, Jaxon, Cornelius (CJ), Jordan, Jada, Zarriya, Camarieo (Jr.), Octavius (OJ), Jalen and Jaylaya; seven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

There will NOT be a public viewing held. A private viewing will be held for IMMEDIATE family members only.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 12, 2020, @ 11:00 a.m., at Sunset Oaks Memorial Cemetery, 1580 Sunset Blvd., Jesup, Ga.


Those planning to attend the services are asked to wear your proper PPE for everyone's protection and safety, due to the covid-19 virus, masks are required, along with the 6ft. social distancing regulations set by your local health dept. and the CDC. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
