Clyde Thomas James, 64, a resident of Screven, Ga., and native of Philadelphia, Pa., passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at his resident. Clyde was born on June 22, 1955, to the late, Clyde James and Sadie Ligon-James in Philadelphia, Pa. He was educated in the public school system of Thomas Edison High School in Philadelphia, Pa., and soon there after, joined the U.S. Air Force. After his honorable discharge from the military, Clyde served as a fireman in Coatesville, Pa., for seven years. Clyde was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys football team and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by both parents, Clyde and Sadie James and a sister Brenda Douglas.
Those left to cherish his memory: three sisters, Rosalyn (Gregory) Simmons, Screven, Ga., Debra (James) Werts, Philadelphia, Pa., and Quentetta (Warren) Coleman of Sewell, NJ; an uncle, Vernon (Lettico) Williams of Washington, DC, and a host of nieces, Samantha D. (Christopher) Moore, Philadelphia, Pa., Tracey D. (Javier) Mcloud, Philadelphia, Pa., Aleeshamonae Dove, Darby, Pa., and Kelly (Sean) Redmond of Glassboro, NJ; nephews, Edmond (Cornese) Dove, Washington, DC, Matthew Coleman of Sewell, NJ; an adopted granddaughter, Dominique Graves of Sharon Hill, Pa., as well as, other cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.
An inurnment will take place at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Ga., 8819 US Hwy 301, Glennville, Ga. 30427, @ 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2019.
