Obituary for Daisey Bush (Attical)
Daisey Bush, 80, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 following a brief illness. She was born on March 16, 1942 to the late, John Attical and Hattie Mae Doych in Homerville, Ga. Daisey was educated at the Wayne County Training School and was a former member of Mt. Mariah AME Church. Upon returning to Georgia from New York, she began her studies with Jehovahs Witnesses at the Kingdom Hall in Jesup, Ga. Daisy's employment history stemmed from working at Hygiene Industries, Anchor Plastics, both in Brooklyn, NY and at King and Prince Seafood in Brunswick, Ga.
Daisey was preceded in death by both parents, John and Hattie Mae Attical, her son, John Bush, Jr.; her sisters, Annie Weatherspoon and Savannah Wilson; her brothers, John Samuel Attical, Robert Lee Attical and Tommy Attical; her sisters in-law, Ruby Attical and Geraldine Attical; her brothers in-law, Truman Jackson, Chester Weatherspoon and McCoy Wilson.
Those left to cherish her memories: two daughters, Carolyn Bush (Jeffery) Monroe and Doris Bush; her sons, Ty Van (Tina) Dowdy and Omar (Geraldine) Evans; two who were like a son, Norman Lockette and Lorenzo Bennett, Jr.; three sisters, Johnnie Mae (Willie Clyde) Murray, Catherine Louise Jackson and Bessie Mae Allen; her close friend, Claudia Flowers; her Jehovah's Witness family; (25) grandchildren; (19) great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss her dearly.
A viewing will be held at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W, Pine Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545 on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 4-6 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023 @ 2:00 pm, with a viewing from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service @ 2:00 p.m., with a private disposition following services.
