Obituary for Deborah "Debbie" Scott (Taylor)

Deborah Lynn Taylor-Scott, 53, a native of Folkston, Ga., and resident of Chesapeake, Va., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 9, 2019, as a result of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. "Debbie," as she was affectionately
known by family and friends, was born on March 11, 1966, to Claretha Noble-Taylor and the late, Willie B. Taylor, in Folkston, Ga. She was educated in the public school system of Charlton County, graduating in the Class of 1984. She furthered her education at FCCJ where she studied computer science.

Debbie was the loving wife and biggest cheerleader of Louis Valentino Scott. Sr., and the best mom to their son, Louis Valentino Scott, Jr. She was a member of St. Mathew Baptist Church, where she grew up as a child. She was currently employed as a Claims Advocate for ANTHEM, a subsidiary of Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

Those left to harbor their most fond memories of Debbie: her loving and devoted husband, Louis Valentino Scott, Sr., and their only son, Louis, Jr., both of Chesapeake, Va.; her loving mother, Claretha Noble Taylor, Hilliard, Fl.; her sisters, Elizabeth Taylor, Hilliard, Fl. and Mary Ann Taylor, Sacramenta, Ca.; her brothers, Alvin G. Taylor, and J. D. Taylor, both of Waycross, Ga.; her mother and father in-law, Pearlie Mae and Rev. John Wesley Scott, Folkston, Ga.; her brothers in-law, John "Myros" Scott, Jacksonville, Fl., Vellie (Shawn) Scott, Ft. Washington, Md., Christopher Jerome (Terry) Scott,
Jacksonville, Fl., and John "Alexander" (Sabrina) Scott, Chester, Va.; her great aunt, Inez Sanders, Palmetto, Fl.; as well as, several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, that will miss her dearly.

In lieu of flowers, my son and I want to honor Debbie's life and service to others by establishing a Memorial or some sort of charity in her name. Your contributions great or small would be very much appreciated. My wife spirit will LIVE on through all of YOU! You may send your contributions through the following link:
