Obituary for DeUnna "Dee" Taylor

DeUnna (Dee) Evans Taylor, 56, of Jesup, GA passed away on January 4, 2023, at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 14,1966 in Jesup, Georgia to the late, Ruby Taylor and Eddie B. Evans, Sr. She was educated in Wayne County and graduated from Wayne County High School in 1984. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a young age at St. James Temple of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. in Screven, GA. Later, she began attending Turning Point Worship Center in Jesup, GA. Her work history comprised of Job Corp in Brunswick, GA for many years, Wayne County Child Support Office in Jesup, GA and Gateway Mental Health in Hinesville, GA, before her health began to fail.

DeUnna loved her boys dearly and always spoke of them as if they were still her little babies. Her favorite hobbies were reading and helping others wherever and whenever possible. She loved The Lord Jesus Christ and believed in prayer at any and all times. She was excited and so looking forward to the birth of her first grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Taylor and her father, Eddie B. Evans, Sr.; Grandmother, Edith Turner; Siblings, Shirley Cobbs, Rufus Dickens, Brother-in-law, Sherman Cobbs, and Aunt, Bessie Evans.

Those left to cherish her sweet memories: Her loving sons, Khrystofer Sean Taylor and Kamien D. (Armani Price) Taylor, both of Jesup, GA; Her sisters, Pearl (Alvin) Williams of Jesup, GA, Delois Taylor Guyton of Jacksonville, FL, Dale Evans Wilkins of Brunswick, GA, Her brothers, Freddie (Shirley) Taylor of Jesup, GA, Willie Jack Taylor of Savannah, GA, Eddie B. (Ella Faye) Evans, Jr. of Dothan, AL; Aunt, Roseanna Tippins of Jesup, GA; Uncle, Felden Dickens of Hinesville, GA; Sister-in-law, Mary Dickens of Jesup, GA; Two God Children, Me’Lanie Barnhill and Laila Gowdy. Many nieces and nephews. A special niece who was right by her side during her trips to and from the doctors and hospital stays in Savannah, GA and Jacksonville, FL, Shirelle Williams. She, also, had a special bond with her nephew, Bobby (B.G.) Guyton, Jr., who was like another son to her.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday, January 14, 2023, @ 1:00 p,m, at Turning Point Worship Center, 1810 S. Palm St., Jesup, GA 31545.
