Obituary for E.G. McGill

E.G. McGill was born on November 19, 1951 to the late Argell and M.L. McGill in Thomasville, Ga. He was educated in the Wayne County School System (Waynesboro, Ms.) and graduated from Beat Four High School in 1971. E.G. was employed with J.Y. Jones Railroad for 30 years and he also worked in the construction business for Bobby Lashley until he retired.

On Monday, March 21, 2022 God whispered a prayer and called his child home to be at rest. E.G. was preceded in death by his parents, Argell and M.L. McGill; his wife, Earnestine McGill; his son, Joseph Gandy McGill; his siblings, Ollie Mae Howard, Thelma M. Kinsey, Charlie McGill and Tony McGill.

He leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters, Lawanda (Raymond) James, Suwanee, Ga. and Adrienne (Charles) Wiggs, Jacksonville, Fl.; two sons, Anthony (Rhonda) McGill, Jesup, Ga. and Kelvin (Sujay) McGill of Yulee, Fl.; a devoted sister, Annie L. Coleman, Shubuta, Ms.; two brothers, Charles Earl (Tina) McGill, Taylorville, Ms and John L. McGill of Jesup, Ga.; five grandchildren, Christal, Anthony, Crystal, Tyresha (Teandre), Davion and Kevin; five great grandchildren, Anala, Anthony, Jr., Andre, Atlas and Sencere; one sister in-law, Rosa M. Carter, Jesup, Ga.; two brothers in-law, Timothy Sease and James Sease, both of Jesup, Ga.; a close friend, Helen Fullmore, Jesup, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss him immensely.

A viewing will be held one hour prior (10 a.m. until 11 am) to the Memorial service on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545 Memorial services will began at 11:00 a.m. Services will be followed by cremation.

There will NOT be a viewing on Friday, Only one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Services will NOT be live streamed (per family request)
