Obituary for Flora McCloud

On the morning of May 11, 2022 God dispatched his Angel of Mercy to Jesup Health and Rebab in Jesup, Georgia to
carry Ms. Flora Etta McCloud home. Ms. Flora Etta McCloud was born January 16, 1959 in Brunswick, Georgia to the late, Mamie Alberta King and Charlie McCloud and was raised by her adopted mother, the late, Mamie Lou Jones-Cowart. Her painful days are over and restless nights have passed. God took her in his loving arms.

At an early age, Flora dedicated her life to Christ. She attended St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she was an
active choir member. She was educated in the Glynn County School Systems. And later became a room attendant at
various Hotels.

She was preceded in death by two children, Ms. Rose Marie Jones and Mr. Melvin Henley Jr., one brother, Mr. Marion Allen Miller, two sisters, Mrs. Marilyn Lois Washington and Ms. Grace Jackson.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Mrs. Tamara Moore (Chad) and Mrs. Cynthia McCloud (Timothy); Eight grandchildren, Shanice Bryant, Devonte Jones, Antonia Riddle, Jasmine Bryant, Antavia Riddle, Mya Lattany, Diazha Powell and Alexia Vann; six great -grandchild; one loving Goddaughter, Ms. Ophelia Gibson; four brothers, Mr. Robert McCloud (Charity) of Brunswick Georgia, Mr. Carlton Miller (Mary) of Sliver Springs, MD, Mr. Edward Miller Sr. (Betty) of Brunswick GA and Mr. Charlie McCloud of Brunswick GA; a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

There will not be a wake/visitation. The family will receive friends prior to services on Friday, May 20, 2022 at the Church of God from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, @ 11:00 a.m. at the Church Of God, 1404 O Street, Brunswick, Ga. 31520.

We ask that everyone planning to attend the services to please wear your mask to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
