Gloria Jean Lambert was born on October 19, 1948 to the late, Lawrence and Beulah Mae Maddox-Martin in Surrency, Georgia. Gloria was a 1966 graduate of Wayne County Training School. She was a former employee and retiree of Kmart, Sybil’s Restaurant and Wayneline Furniture. She was a lifelong member of Bennett Union Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an usher, worked in the Love Center and worked with the Missions Ministry. Gloria enjoyed walking, reading and spending time with her family. She passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2021.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her siblings, Annie Mae Fabian, Ruby Attical, Mary Jennings, Lillie Holland and Rosa Turner; one step-daughter, Cathy Lambert.
Those left to cherish her memory: her husband, Fulton T. Lambert, Jesup, GA; her daughter, Melissa M. Thomas, Jesup, GA; her son, Patrick L. Martin, Jesup, GA; her son-of –the-heart, Kevin D. Thomas, Jesup, GA; her grandchildren, NaCole Jennings-Moore, Nalyssa Moore and Raelyn Arnold, all of Jesup, GA.; her step-grandchildren, ShaQuilla Myron, Levern, Devern, Amara, Aniya, Taneea and Ava Lambert, all of Jesup, GA; her brother in-law, Eddie (Chylene) Lambert of Jesup and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
A walk thru viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545 from 12 noon until 5 p.m.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 @ 11:00 a.m., at Sunset Oaks Memorial Cemetery, 1570 Sunset Blvd., Jesup, GA. The service will be live streamed and can be viewed on Royal Funeral Home Inc. website.
