Obituary for Harry Keyhea Jr.

Harry Keyhea, Jr., passed away on Thursday August 13, 2020, at Wayne Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born on May 31, 1962, to the late, Harry Keyhea, Sr. and Prince Ella Ellis-Keyhea. Harry was educated in the public school system of Wayne County and spent approx. 20 years as a resident of Ware County, Ga., before relocating back to Wayne County for the past 20 years, as his health began to decline. Harry worked in Construction and Farming most of his life and was a member of Grace and Mercy Church, under the leadership of Pastor Mary Ellis, in Jesup, Ga. He enjoyed fishing and watching football and basketball on television in his spare time. Although, Harry did not have any biological children of his own, he helped raise his nieces and nephews, and assisted anyone else in the family with their needs, and he will certainly be sorely. missed.

Harry was preceded in death by both parents, Harry, Sr. and Prince Ella Ellis-Keyhea, and his siblings, Margaret Ann Keyhea, Odella Lou Keyhea, Carrie Keyhea, Maryland Graves and Harvey Mae Keyhea.

Those left to cherish his memory: his two brothers, Bobby (Neccie) Keyhea and Willie Earl Keyhea, both of Jesup, Ga.; his aunts, Pastor Mary Ellis, Jesup, Ga.; his close friends, "J.D." John Butler, Willie "Nunk" Curry, David Owens, Jr., Bobby Jones; and a host of his favorite nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that loved him dearly.

A balloon release has been planned by the family in memory of Harry, and will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 @ 11:00 a.m., at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Park, Hickory Street, Jesup, Ga. (on the Hill).
