Janice Perry-Stewart, 65, of Ludowici, Ga. passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Memorial Health in Savannah, Ga. Janice was born on April 5, 1957 to the late, Richard Perry, Sr. and Elizabeth Johnson-Perry in Jesup, Ga. She was educated in the public school system of Long County, Ga. She was a former employee, as a secretary, at Walker Elementary School in Ludowici, Ga. and was a faithful member of St. Phillips Baptist Church where she served diligently on the kitchen committee. Janice enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family and friends in her free time.
Janice was preceded in death by both parents, Richard and Elizabeth Perry, Sr; her husband, Frank Stewart and two siblings, Clara Sue and James Perry.
Those left to cherish her memories: two daughters, Francine Stewart (Dante' Brown),Tampa, Fl. and Romanda Stewart (Aaron) Lovette, Ludowici, Ga.; (6) grandchildren, David (Alexa) Stewart, Seattle, Wa., Jarod Stewart, Hinesville, Ga., Dederick Stewart, Ludowici, Ga., Ludowici, Ga., Ryrani Stewart, Ludowici, Ga. and Aarya and Aaryn Lovette, both of Ludowici, Ga.; (3) great grandchildren, Braden Wade, St. Louis, Ashari J. Stewart, Ft. Hood, Tx. and Aureilla Stewart of Seattle, Washington; her brothers, Richard Perry, Atlanta, Ga. and Tony Perry, Ludowici, Ga.; a sister, Iris Mallard, Ludowici, Ga.; her god children, Renita Givens and LaTonya Aaron, both of Hinesville, Ga. and Angelica Middleton, Pa.; her loving nieces and nephews, Tony Johnson, Terrell Parks, Harold Parks, Rochelle Parks Monsanto Perry, Richard "Scooter" Perry III, Horace and Tony Mcray, Terra James, Tonya Perry, James Perry, Jr and Vonn Perry; her sister in law, Sadie Perry, Tampa, Fl. a close friend, Nathaniel Fabian of Philadelphia and a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
There will not be a wake/visitation. The public will be able to view from 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon on the day of the service (Wednesday).
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 @ 12 noon at St. Phillips Baptist Church, 11 Boundary Street, Ludowici, Ga. 31316. Interment in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
