Janie Mamie Rosie Lee King, 88, of Jesup, Ga., passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at her residence. She was born on June 25, 1932, to the late, Nathaniel and Daisy Cason-King in Glenwood, Ga. (Wheeler County). Janie worked most of her adult life as a homemaker, taking care of her children and grandchildren. She was the baby of 17 siblings and the mother of 14 children of her own, seven boys and seven girls. Three of her sons preceded her in death, Wilford, Charlie, and one still born son. Janie was a member of St. John First Born Holiness Church where she attended until her health would no longer allow her to attend.

She leaves to cherish her memories: seven daughters, Louise (Issac) Mayers, Brunswick, Ga., Ruby Jean Taylor, Valdosta, Ga., Geneva Johnson, Kathy King, Regina King, Janie "Lou" (David) Pickett, all of Jesup, Ga., Jeannette (Jim) Brockett, Alma, Ga.; three sons, Willie (Alma) Malory, Walter King, David King, Jesup, Ga., Joseph King, Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.; one brother, Isaiah King, Glenwood, Ga.; 28 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren, as well as, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


A viewing will be held on Friday, July 31, 2020, at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga. from 12 noon until 5 p.m.


A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 @ 10:00 a.m., at Sunset Oaks Memorial Cemetery, 1580 Sunset Blvd. Jesup, Ga..
