Obituary for Jiquion Bolden

Jiquion Javon Bolden, 30, a native of Charlton County and resident of Chatham County passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021 as a result of a vehicle accident. He was born on April 12, 1990 to Samantha Bolden and David Gilyard, Jr., in Folkston, Ga. “Javon”, as he was affectionately known by family and close friends, was educated in the public school system of Charlton County and in 2010 he relocated to Waycross, Ga., then to Hinesville, Ga., and spent the last 8 years as a resident of Savannah, Ga. At the time of his death, Javon was employed with MPS Management for the past 11 years. When Javon was not working, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and caring for his pit bull dogs. His children was the apple of his eye and he loved them dearly.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Gertrude Lewis, his grandfathers, Morris Bolden, Jr. and David Gilyard, Sr. and a sister, Jade Parrish.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Samantha Bolden, Savannah, Ga.; his father, David Gilyard, Jr., Folkston, Ga. and a special father figure, Robert Maxwell, Folkston, Ga.; his children, Kayanna Watson, Jacksonville, Fl., Ne’Vaeh Bolden, Jiquion Javon Bolden, Jr. and Ji’Kobi Bolden, all of Hinesville, Ga.; three sisters, Jazmon Turner, Autumn Sharpe and Harmonie Bolden, all of Savannah, Ga.; two brothers, Lamonte’ Bolden, Hinesville, Ga. and Carmello Bolden of Savannah, Ga.; his aunts, Sonya (Christopher) Heavener, Folkston, Ga., Christy Bolden (Keith Mendez), St. Marys, Ga., Tomeica (William) Haiston, Kingsland, Ga., Rhonda, Hutchinson, Folkston, Ga. and Tera Hutchinson of St. Marys, Ga.; his uncles, Jeffrey (Eunice) Lewis, Alma, Ga., Jamel Hutchinson and Sasson (Tracy) Gilyard, both of Folkston, Ga.; his grandmothers, Ethel (Adam) Stafford and Joyce Houston, both of Folkston, Ga.; his great grandmother, Eloise Bolden, Folkston, Ga.; (5) nephews ; (2) nieces and a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins and special friends, Bhritten Enmund, Hinesville, Ga., Marquise Griffin, Savannah, Ga., John “Suave Phatts” Armfield of Hinesville, Ga. Javon will be greatly missed by all that knew him.


*There will be no visitation or viewing of remains.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 @ 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Cemetery Rd., Folkston, Ga.

Everyone planning to attend the services are asked to wear their masks and observe the 6ft. social distancing guidelines established by local health authorities and the CDC.
