Obituary for Joe Jones
Joe L. Jones was born on May 19, 1958 to Ms. Nina Louise Jones-Hamm and was reared with much help from his grandparents, Willie and Eddie Mae Jones. He was educated in the public school system of Wayne County and was a 1977 graduate of Wayne County High School. Joe served proudly in the United States Armed Forces and enjoyed watching sports on television and spending time with his family and friends.
Joe passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie and Eddie Mae Jones and his brother, James Wright.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving mother, Nina Louise Jones-Hamm, Jesup, Ga.; his siblings, Barbara (Lorenzo) Bennett, Jesup, Ga., Linda Clark, Brunswick, Ga., Aldin Jones, Screven, Ga. and Ellen ( John) Vail, Screven, Ga.; a special niece and nephew, Reggie and Lucy Jones, Screven, Ga.; his aunt, Mary Frances Thomas, Screven, Ga.; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 27, 2020 @ 1:00 p.m., at Screven Cemetery, Screven Cemetery Rd., Screven, Ga.
