John leaves to mourn his memory, his mother, Jane Gooden, his sister, Margaret G. Hill (David), his brothers,
Lawrence Merritt (Sharon), Nathaniel Merritt (Tara) and Timothy Merritt (Brandi); along with his children, family and friends.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 11:00 am in Amityville Cemetery, 55 Harrison Avenue, Amityville, NY 11701 under the direction of Unity Funeral Chapel, 1018 Prospect Avenue, Bronx, New York 10459.
