Joseph Houston, 59, of Folkston, Ga., passed away unexpectedly on December 19, 2019, in Homestead, Fl. He was born on September 15, 1960, to the late, Lorene Houston and John Columbus Neeley, in Folkston, Ga. Joseph was educated in the public school system of Charlton County and graduated in the Class of 1978, and joined the United States Army after graduating. He loved fishing and spending time with his family.

Joe was preceded in death by both parents, his grandparents, a sister, Terra Ann Jordan, his brothers, Duke Edgar Houston, Jimmy Lee Houston, Freddie Lee Vernon, and a special niece, Jaqhayla Houston.

He leaves to mourn: his loving wife, Joyce Barber-Houston, Folkston, Ga.; a daughter, Cheryl Cobb, Folkston, Ga.; a son, Duke Edgar Houston, Folkston, Ga.; his step children, Terra Hutchison, St. Marys, Ga., Robert Maxwell, Rhonda Hutchison and Jamal Hutchison, all of Folkston, Ga.; his grandchildren, Tony, Vontez, Kashawn, Kasmierre, Shamierre and Armani; his siblings, Della (Rev. Raymond) Roberts, Jacqueline (Tracy) Stephens and Laura Ann Houston, all of Folkston, Ga., Richard (Mollie) Houston, Kingsland, Ga., Robert (Vivian) Taylor, Jacksonville, Fl.; sisters in law, Lily Robinson, Jesup, Ga., Shirley Small, Sanford, NC, Joyce Houston, Dallas, Tx., Luvenia Houston, Jacksonville, Fl.; brother-in-law, James Gibbs, St. Augustine, Fl., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
