Joseph Jackon, 78, of Jesup, GA passed away on August 9, 2023, at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 18, 1945, to the late John and Eula Mae Jackson of Doctortown, GA. “Joe Joe” as he was affectionately known by family and friends, dropped out of school to work and help take care of his family. He was a former employee of Rayonier Performance Fibers and Wayneline Furniture Company. He loved spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by both parents, his brothers, Willie James Randolph, Willy Curry, Robert Jackson, James Jackson, and Samuel Jackson.

Those left to cherish his memories: his daughter, Tina L. (Barry) Norris of Midway, Ga.; his son, Jermaine Jackson of Atlanta, Ga; one grandson, Sharmario L. Jackson and four great-grandchildren; his sisters, Josephine Reddish and Regina (James) Shipman; his brothers, Bernard Curry, Jimmy (Janice) Jackson, and John Jackson, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 5-7 at Royal Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 @ 11 am at New Life Ministries, 512 Walker Street Jesup, Ga 31546.
