Obituary for Juanita Durden (Durden)

Juanita Durden, 79, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Monday, May 03, 2021 at Harborview Health System in Jesup, Ga. Juanita was born on October 24, 1941 to the late, Burnies and Annia Mae Randolph-Durden, Sr. in Doctortown, Ga. She was educated in the Wayne County Training School and was a member of St. John First Born Holiness Church under the leadership of Bishop A.J. Myles and present Pastor, Elder Michael Swint. Juanita's employment included housekeeping at the Holiday Inn and she spent some time as a server at "The Pig". Her hobbies included fishing and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by both parents Burnies and Annie Mae Durden, Sr.; her only sister, Ida Mae Curry and her only brother, Burnies Durden, Jr. Juanita was the last child to pass away and she will forever linger in the hearts of her children who thought the world of her.

She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memories: her loving children, Charles (Louverta) Best, Hampton, Va., Eulanda Durden and Earl Durden, both of Jesup, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Tavon, Taylor, Melenthia, Devonte', Carter Michael, Noah and Armani; five great grandchildren, Jaleel, Maurisha, Diamond, Morrealion and Jew Lorquet.; a brother in-law, Bernard Curry; close friends, Ms. Betty and Essie Mae Crawford-Nelson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss her sorely.

A walk thru viewing will be held on Thursday, May 06, 2021 at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga. from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

A graveside will be held on Friday, May 07, 2021 @ 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Oaks Memorial Cemetery, 1570 Sunset Blvd., Jesup, Ga. 31545
