Juliet Baggs-Holmes, 66, of Ludowici, Ga. passed away on Monday, May 03, 2021 following a lengthy illness. Juliet was born on August 23, 1954 to the late, Henry Baggs, Sr. and Alberta Jackson-Baggs in Ludowici, Ga. Juliet was educated in the public school system of Long County and she grew up in New Hope AME Church and later became a member of St. Paul Holiness Church. Her employment extends from Wayne Memorial Hospital to Wal Mart and included Long County Senior Citizens Concerted Services, where she worked as a cook. Juliet loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, her pet dog "Harry" and gardening.
Juliet was preceded in death by both parents, Henry and Alberta Baggs; her husband, James Holmes; her brothers, Henry, Jr., Matthew and Lloyd Baggs and George Moore; her sisters, Jeanette Johnson, Juanita Jackson, Estella Baggs and Dorothy Smiley.
Those left to cherish her memory: her loving children, Vanessa Holmes and Charles Holmes, both of Jesup, Ga., David Holmes, Fayetteville, NC and James (Cassie) Holmes of Ludowici, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Isy'ss, Juliet, Adrianna, Meleisha, Tarik, Janai and Tyheim; her sisters, Cathy Baggs, Ludowici, Ga., Joyce Baggs, Newark, NJ and Rosa Lee Johnson of Detroit, Michigan; her brothers, James (Arletha) Baggs and Artis (Rozenna) Baggs, both of Ludowici, Ga., William (Lenora) Baggs of Savannah, Ga. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss her warm infectious smile.
A walk thru viewing will be held on Friday, May 07, 2021 at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine St., Jesup, Ga. 31545 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 08, 2021 @ 2:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Ludowici, Ga.
