Obituary

Kelvin “Buddy” Tims was born on March 15, 1956, to Ms. Mary Ellen Tims, in Chicago, Il. Kelvin was educated in Martin Luther King Jr. High School from which he graduated in Chicago, Il. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he spent 12 years and later he retired from the Federal Correctional Institution, where he worked as a lieutenant. Kelvin was a well respected man among his family, friends and his co workers. Kelvin wasn’t a member of Bennett Union Missionary Baptist Church, however, he would attend services there and was willing to do anything to help around the church. He never met a stranger and would do anything to help anyone. He passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clera Mae Martin-Tims and a sister, Theora Tims.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Mary Ellen Tims, Chicago, Il.; a loving daughter, Kelly Tims Brooks (Ronald), Barksdale AFB, La.; his two wonderful grandchildren, Nehemiah and Naomi Brooks, Barksdale AFB, La.; two brothers, Alan (Elizabeth) Tims and Kurt Tims, both of Chicago, Il.; two sisters, Geraldine Watts and Vanessa Tims, both of Chicago, Il.; his loving god mother, Luberta Orr, Jesup, Ga. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

Tim Diggity😊. It seems as if it was yesterday we were at somebody's house having a good time, in Beaumont....playing cards, celebrating, or just being there for each other. The advice...the memories, you will be missed.
