Obituary for Larcenia Walthour (Cooper)

Larcenia Cooper-Walthour, 77, of Midway, Ga. passed away on Monday, August 09, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 31, 1944 to the late Ernest and Annie Bell Stevens-Cooper in Ludowici, Ga. Larcenia was educated in the Walker High School System and was an active member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was employed with Liberty County Rehabilitation Center as an instructor for many years before retiring. Larcenia loved sewing and crafting and was really good at it.

She was preceded in death by both parents, Ernest and Annie Bell Cooper; three brothers, Willie L,, James and Lonnie Cooper and a sister, Rose Harris.

Those left to cherish her memory: her loving husband of 39 years, Peter Walthour, Midway, Ga.; a son, Marlon D. Walthour, Hinesville, Ga.; a step daughter, Crissandra Bell, Midway, Ga.; a sister, Mary Hamilton, Ludowici, Ga.; two brothers, William Ernest Cooper (Gwen), Jersey City, NJ and David E. Cooper, Ludowici, Ga.; three grandchildren, Shaniah Wilson, Tyrik Johnson, England and Shantey Bell; an uncle, Robert Roberson, Ludowici, Ga.; her brothers in-law, Lawrence Walthour, Herman Walthour (Beth) and Ernest Walthour, all of Midway, Ga.; her sisters in-law, Shirley Ann Wilson, Hinesville, Ga. and Mary Ann Cooper, Jersey City, NJ; her close friends, Joyce Wilds, Cynthia Floyd, Barbara Alston, Florence Baggs, Sheryl Roberts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends that will miss her dearly.

A walk thru viewing will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 @ 10:00 a.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Franklin St., Ludowici, Ga. Remains will be viewed from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the cemetery.
