Obituary for Linda Scott (Swift)
Linda Jean Swift Scott was born on June 23, 1967, to the late, Henrietta Parker Swift and Lester Swift, Sr. She was born and raised in the small town of Folkston Georgia. She gave her life to Christ at a young age at Bethlehem Holiness Church in Folkston, Georgia. She graduated from Charlton County School System. She ran track and threw the shot put. She was a member of New St. James Fellowship COGIC.
The Lord called her home on October 17, 2023, in Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick Campus. She precedes in death by her sister, Mary Allen, her mother, Henrietta Parker Swift, her father, Lester Swift, Sr, and nephew, Malcolm Jamal Swift.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 34 years, Nathaniel Scott; her daughter, Sandra L.Q. Scott- Alvarez; her 6 brothers: Willie Davis of Waycross, Christopher Davis, Sr of Folkston, Richard Swift (Tesheba) of LaGrange, Ronnie Swift of Folkston, Lester Swift, Jr of Folkston, and Morris Swift (Marie) of Kingsland; 3 sisters, Donnie Swift of Jacksonville, Sandra Swift of Kingsland, and Luvenia Swift of Folkston; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
*There will not be a wake/visitation on Friday.
Remains will lie in state one hour prior to services on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at the church.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 @ 11:00 am at New St. James Fellowship COGIC, 463 KinLaw Rd., Woodbine GA 31569
Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Memorial Cemetery, Folkston, Ga.
