Obituary for Lucius King

Lucius Glenn King, 50, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021. He was born on Sunday, March 28, 1971, to the late, Loretta King in Paterson, New Jersey. In the early 80s, they moved to Jesup, Georgia and Glenn graduated from Wayne County High School with the Class of 1989. Following graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy from 1989 to 1993, which took place during the Desert Storm War (Veteran). He later moved to Jacksonville, Florida and remained there for the rest of his life. Glenn was married to Lynn King from August 18, 2001 to January 7, 2015.

Uncle Tommie Mims helped to shape the life of Glenn by being a father figure to him. He helped Glenn to become the man we loved, and his desire was to instill those same qualities into his sons and daughters. Glenn unconditionally and genuinely loved his friends, and they reciprocated the same kind of love right back to him throughout the years. Glenn touched the lives of many throughout his life, and we are going to miss his hugs, jokes, love, and his ability to bring people together.

Glenn enjoyed Dragon Ball (Japanese Anime), Video Games, Magic Gathering, WWE, fishing, movies, and he was part of the United States Professional Pool Players Association. His favorite teams were the Chicago Bears Professional Football Team and the Michigan Wolverines College Football Team.

Glenn leaves behind to cherish his memory: his grandmother, Fannie Mims (88) from Jesup, Georgia, a brother, Julius King, FL; a sister, Fannie Katherine Robinson (Carlos), GA; and he was a Godfather to 5 and they were recognized by Glenn as his children: Amber & Aston Francis, Tinley & Trysten Tarrant and Damean Hasburg. He loved children and the children loved him right back, and this includes his host of nieces and nephews. Glenn also leaves to cherish his memories, a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
