Obituary for Marvin Ellis
Marvin Lorean Ellis was born on March 01, 1972 to the late, Deacon Leon Ellis, Sr. and Edna Joe Brown and was reared by Pastor Mary Louise Ellis of Jesup, Ga. He was educated in the public school system of Wayne County, Ga. and attended Tennessee State College. Marvin was raised as a child in Bethlehem Temple Church where he enjoyed serving the Lord and in his spare time, he always enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and cooking.
Marvin passed away unexpectedly on October 27, 2023 surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Deacon Leon Ellis, Edna Joe Brown and Pastor Mary Louise Ellis; two brothers, Marvey Leon Ellis and Leon Ellis, Jr.
Those left to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Beverly Ellis; his daughters, Keosha Ellis, Keiondra Ross, Shalynn Fox, Mariah Ellis, Shakyra Thomas and Brittany Howard; his sons, Quinton Nichols, Isaiah Ellis, Josiah Owens, Anthony Howard and Demitrius Howard; his sisters, Barbara Ann Hill, Diane (Dwight) Wallace, Leola Hunter, Sharon (Pastor Gerald) Ellis, Kathy Sapp and April Ellis; his brothers, Ray Charles Ellis and Lamar (Charlene) Ellis; his two grandchildren, Tristan Clark and Kanelo Roberson; his mother and father in law, James and Coretta Maynor; his sister in law, Belinda Ellis; his brothers in law, Tyrone Simmons, Doug Maynor and Antonio Simmons; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
A viewing will be held on Friday, November 03, 2023 at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga. from 5-7 pm
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 04, 2023 @ 11:00 am at Jesup New Life Ministries, 512 Walker Street, Jesup, Ga.31546.
Interment will be in Sunset Oaks Memorial Gardens, Sunset Blvd., Jesup, Ga. 31545.
Repast will be held at Jesup New Life Ministries Social Hall immediately following interment.
