Obituary for Mary Harris

Mrs. Mary L. Harris was born on November 06, 1960, in Vidalia, Ga., to the late, Clifford and Vera Adams-Jacobs. She was educated in the public school system of Vidalia, and graduate from Vidalia High School. Mary was a devoted member of Love and Faith Chapel where she praised God faithfully. She spent most of her life being a homemaker. She loved nothing more than God and being in the presence of her family.

On Monday, July 27, 2020, God saw that Mary had grown tired of battling the illnesses of this world and called her from labor to reward. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Vera Jacobs; her sisters, Jacqueline Jacobs and Pamela LeGrant.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her devoted husband, James Lee Harris; one daughter, Tamala (Cecil) Jackson; five grandchildren, Marqueise Durden, TaRonda Norman, Zaire Durden, Brooklyn Jackson and Ashton Jackson; two great grandchildren, Amauri and Ahlani; four sisters, Missionary Donna Terrell, Marsha "Kathy" Jacobs, Mary Ann (Montavo) Eppil, and Precious Kyles; eleven brothers, Donald (Von) Jacobs, Bobby Jacobs, Russell Jacobs, Kenneth Jacobs, Tyran (Nicole) Jacobs, Benjamin Jacobs, Al Simpson, Ray (Nicole) Corbett, Cecil Wilson, Rodney (Stacy) Corbett and Joseph (Rhonda) Phillips; her stepmother, Darlene Jacobs; her mother in-law, Betty Jo Page; a sister in-law, Natalie Page; two brothers in-law, Karl and George Page; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends, Mary Johnson and Gene Preston.

Remains will be viewed on Saturday, August 01, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Royal Funeral Home Chapel.

A graveside will be held on Sunday, August 02, 2020 @ 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Oaks Memorial Gardens, 1580 Sunset Blvd., Jesup, Ga. 31545
