Obituary for Michelle Johnson (Hamilton)
Michelle Denice Hamilton was born on December 23, 1969 to Lucious and Leila Hamilton, Jr., (Connie Green). She attended the public-school systems of Charlton County. Michelle graduated in 1988, and throughout her high school years she was dedicated to her love of basketball. After graduation she played basketball for Roane State College, Tennessee. She continued her education and received her bachelor's degree in Sociology at Jacksonville State University, Alabama. Michelle was formerly employed as a manager at Micheal's Deli. She lived life to the fullest, loved taking pictures, and deeply loved her children and family.
On Thursday, June 22, 2023, Michelle transcended from her earthly home. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, the late Lucious and Almeta Hamilton, Sr., the late John and Gladys Smiley, and Emory Green. Michelle also had a number of uncles, aunts, cousins, and a nephew, Eric Lovett, who preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Willie Johnson, III; four children: Kristi Mobuke, Jacksonville, FL, Kristoff, Danielle, and Kristoffur Rauls, Brunswick, GA; her parents, Lucious and Leila Hamilton, Jr., Folkston, GA; Connie Green, Callahan, FL; her grandmother, Lucille Green, St. George, GA; her siblings, Stefany Hamilton Lovett and Lucious Le'Mont Hamilton, Folkston, GA; Shamoi Green, Broderick Green, Lenya Hall, Tosha Green, Denise Green, and Anthony Holmes, Jacksonville, FL; one grandson, Major Rauls, Brunswick, GA; goddaughter, Emara Jones; godson, Earon Washington; special friends, Ieshia Alderman and Gwinette Wilson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
There will NOT be a visitation. Remains will lie in state (1) hour prior to service.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 01, 2023 @ 11:00 am at Mt New Home Missionary Baptist Church, 416 Dixie Lake Rd., Folkston, Ga. 31537
Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Memorial Cemetery, 2948 3rd St., Folkston, Ga. 31537
