Obituary for Norma Washington (Shuman)

Norma Jean Washington, 70, of Jesup, Georgia passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022, in Augusta, Georgia. She was born April 6, 1952 to the late, Ethel Lee Vail and Arthur Shuman. She was raised in Wayne County by her loving parents, the late, Ethel Lee and Leroy Daniels. Norma Jean's education was received through the Wayne County School System. She worked as a Cook for Captain Joe's Restaurant until her health failed. She mostly enjoyed spending time with family and friends and cooking. Norma Jean had loving relatives who preceded her in death: her fathers, Arthur Shuman and Leroy Daniels, mother, Ethel Lee Daniels and daughter, Stephanie Denise Shuman.

Those left to cherish her memory: her children, daughters, Yolanda Addison, Brunswick, Ga., Crissie (Terrance) Bennett of Jesup, Ga. and LaTonya Culbreath, Jesup, Ga., son, Maurice Goodman of Hinesville, Ga.; sister, Audrey Williams, Jesup, Ga.; brothers, Charles (Gloria) Mccloud of Ashburn, Ga., Billy (Jackie) Daniels of Gainesville Fla. and Johnny Daniels of Sanford, Fla.; 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

A walk thru viewing will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, GA 31545.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 @ 2:00 p.m. at New Bethel Life Changing Ministries, 521 Brown Street, Screven, GA 31560.
