Obituary for Ondra'us "Pooh" Grigsby

Ondra'us Da'Von Grigsby, 31, of Screven, Ga. passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 29, 2022. He was born on September 15, 1990 to Clara Bolton and Greg McKennie in Hinesville, Ga. Ondra'us, aka "Pooh" by his family members and close friends was educated in the Wayne County Public School System and graduated in the Class of 2009. He was a member of New Life Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Bertha Cobbs in Jesup, Ga. Pooh was self employed as a trucker and his hobbies included racing motorcycles, physical fitness, playing the drums, power sports, boxing and listening to music.

Ondra'us was preceded in death by his grandparents, Audrey Grigsby and John and Annie Bell McKennie.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Clara Bolton, Charlotte, NC; his father, Greg McKennie, Greenville, Ms.; his children, Alliyah and Preston Cruz, Rylan Hines and Layton Grigsby; his siblings, Shecanigh and Musa Bolton, both of Charlotte, NC; his grandparents, Larry Grigsby, Sr. and Katherine Lockridge; his aunts, Larkie Bates and Margarie McKennie-Moore; his special uncle, Larry Grigsby, Jr.; his god parents, Martha (David) Jones and Lee Stevens; his best friends JaVon Truitt (Toot), Dontae Vail (Blue) Arguavious Jones (AJ); his special friend, Shannon Sapp; and a host of other uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends to cherish his loving memories.

There will be a walk thru viewing on Friday , May 13, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 @ 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 302 School Street, Screven, Ga. 31560.

Repast will be held immediately following services at Sam Dryer Community Center, 219 Florie Street, Screven,Ga. 31560
