Obituary for Reanesa Gordon (Gordon)

Reanesa Gordon, 53, a resident of St. Marys, Ga. and native of Folkston, Ga. passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Southeast Georgia Healthcare System, Camden Campus following a lengthy illness. She was born on March 07, 1970 to the late, Phillip Gordon, Sr. and Diann Rudolph-Davis in Charlton County, Ga. She attended and received her primary education in Lakeland, Ga. (Lanier County, Ga.). Reanesa’s work history was one in the food industry as a cook, which she worked at multiple restaurants until her health no longer allowed her to do so.She was a member of St. Marys First African Baptist Church.

Reanesa was always a joy to be around and was more than happy to help anyone in need. When she was sometimes at her worst, she would always put others in need of help first. Her selfless actions throughout the community will always be remembered. She loved people and it was reflected in her actions.

Reanesa was preceded in death by both parents, Phillip Gordon, Sr. and Diann R. Davis; her grandson, Tre DeVon, Jr. and both her paternal and maternal grandparents.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Tre DeVon Hamilton, Sr. (Tiffany Irving), Dewayne Atwater (Kaylen Taylor), Precious Gordon and Carla and Malcom Gordon, all of St. Marys, Ga. She also leaves to cherish her memories, nine brothers, H. Lavern Davis, Hanford, Ca., Bobby (Brenda) Davis and Phillip Gordon, Jr., both of Folkston, Ga., Calvin Brown, Waycross, Ga., Gregory, Anthony, and Richard Johnson, Phillip Gordon aka “Tyrone”, all of Orlando, Fl.; four sisters, Racheal D. (Ronald) Alderman, Folkston, Ga., Jacquelyn Gordon, Atlanta, Ga., Debra Davis and Angela Davis both of St, Marys, Ga.; a special niece who was like a daughter, Steaphine Davis; nine grandchildren; close friends, Patricia Milton and Randy Walker and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her immensely.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023 @ 2:00 pm at Mt. New Home Missionary Baptist Church, 426 Dixie Lake Road, Folkston, Ga. 31537

There will not be a wake/visitation. Remains will lie in repose for viewing one hour prior to services.

There will be a private disposition.

Repast will be held at the residence of Bobby Davis, 16 Charlton Street, Folkston, Ga. Immediately following services.
