Reva Dell Adkins-Pasley, 86, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 26, 1934 to the late, Charlie and Willie Mae Burton-Adkins in Swainsboro, Ga. "Ms. Pasley", as she was known by most of the community was a precious jewel to both her family and everyone that had the privilege of even meeting her. She will forever be remembered for being a caring, kind hearted, and sweet lady. She was a wonderful cook, well known for her sweet potatoe pies and her passion of cooking. Ms. Pasley was a devoted member of Bennett Union Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the usher board and was the director of the Love Center. Her service to the community, as a whole, was nothing short of amazing.
She was preceded in death by both parents, Charlie and Willie Mae Adkins; her husband, Frank Pasley, Sr.; her daughter, Kassel Pasley-Wilkins; those that she raised and considered to be her children, Sarah, Unette, Sandra, Mattie Rea and Frank, Jr.; and her siblings, Charlie Brinson, Adline Kent, Teresa Adkins-Alford, Charlie Adkins, II, Ronnie Brinson, George King, Randel Adkins, Tom Willie Smith, Frankie Adkins Gardner, Christine Brinson Colley, Mary King Cheatham, Betty Brinson-Douglas and Dorothy Adkins Baker.
Those left to cherish her every memory: her daughters, Bertha (Winston) Bourne, Columbia, SC, Carolyn (Isiac) Bryant and Patricia (Allen) Moody, both of Jesup, Ga.; one that she raised as a daughter, Melvidean Frazier of Atlanta, Ga.; her son, Rickey (Diane) Pasley, Jesup, Ga.; and one that she raised as a son, Willie Aaron (Karen) Gardener, Cleveland, Ohio; four sisters, Annie Bogan, Jesup, Ga., Minnie "Bell" (Pritchard) Sweeting, Gifford, Fl., Lue Bertha (Ned), Gifford, Fl. and Jessie Mae Brinson, Daytona, Fl.; one brother, William (Queen) Brinson, Suitland, Md.; (10) grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her immensely.
There will be a walk thru viewing on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 2-3 p.m. at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 West Pine Street, Jesup, Ga.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021 @ 10:00 a.m. at Jesup City Cemetery, North First Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545.
Everyone planning to attend services are asked to wear their masks and adhere to the social distancing guidelines set by the local health officials and the CDC.
