Dr. Ronald Roland Trotman, Sr., was born on February 4th, 1959, in Brooklyn, NY, to Mildred Kennedy and Roland Ronald Trotman, who preceded him in death. Later, he moved to Folkston, Georgia, with his grandmother, Sarah Kennedy, where he graduated from Chalton County High School in 1977.
After graduating from high school, he joined the US Army in May 1978. His rank was from a Private to a 1st Lieutenant. In 1992, he was honorably discharged and he started Medical School at Meharry Medical College in Nashville Tennessee.
Dr. Trotman graduated at Meharry Medical College, Nashville, Tennessee. His undergraduate was at the University of Louisiana Monroe, in Monroe, Louisiana. He completed a Family Medicine Residency at Meharry Medical College, January 1, 2000. After he finished his residency, he was a licensed physician in Tennessee, Georgia, and California. He was board certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Trotman has successfully been practicing medicine for over twenty years. He was greatly loved and appreciated by his patients, colleagues, friends, and family. He was a beautiful man, with a pure heart and gentle spirit. With laughter that filled the hearts of all who got to know him for who he was. He was a great man of God, with Love for all mankind and knowledge of The Glorious Word of God. He was a humble and kind man, always putting people before him.
He had three children from his previous marriage and four stepchildren from his last marriage. He had 9 grandchildren, whom he loved so much and spoke well of all the time. He was a beautiful father, an awesome husband, and an amazing friend.
He lived happily with his beautiful wife, Ruby Parker-Trotman, in Southern California, until his death on June 14, 2020.
Dr. Trotman will be remembered and greatly missed by all of those, whom he blessed with his smile and humbleness, full of love, respect, and a grateful heart.
Let us remember a man full of compassion, who sacrificed his life for his family and his most loved patients.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Folkston Ga. 31537.
