Obituary for Rondall Madison Sr.

Rondall Ellis Madison, Sr. was born on June 07, 1960 to the late, John Mikel and Bertha Denegal in Jesup, Ga. He was educated in the public school system of Wayne County and graduated in the Class of 1979 where he participated in the football program. After high school Rondall attended Lawson State University in Birmingham, Alabama, where he studied Business Management. He attended several churches with his last known membership being that of Empowerment City Church under the leadership of Bishop Kendall Shaw. He served as a Male Youth Mentor under the leadership of Pastor Carl Mackey at New Covenant Church in Jesup, Ga. Rondall served as the basketball coach at Faith Baptist Church in Ludowici, Ga. He loved sports and people, which made him a perfect fit. Rondall's employment history ranged from in school suspension paraprofessional in Wayne County, he was employed with Spirit Security at the Civic Center in Atlanta,Ga., Comcast and was also employed at Dollar General.

Rondall passed away on December 19, 2021 at SEGH in Brunswick, Ga. following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by both parents, John Mikel and Bertha Denegal-Thomas and his grandparents, Eugene and Josephine Denegal.

Those left to cherish his memory: his wife, Cynthia Durden-Madison, Jesup, Ga.; five children, Ron, Jr., Atlanta, Ga., Alexus Madison, Atlanta, Ga., Joshua Madison, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Roderick (Lydia) Durden, Atlanta, Ga. and Michael (Robin) Jones of Jesup, Ga.; eight sisters, Marva Wilson, Jesup, Ga., Tanja Miles, Columbus, SC, Angela Lott, Columbia, SC, Krista (Brian) Shaw, Atlanta, Ga., Jacqueline Burley, Jacksonville, Fl., Valerie Bacon, Hinesville, Ga. and Barbara A. Doomes and Brenda Murray, both of Lakeland, Fl.; four brothers, Randall Madison, Tennessee, Mark (Vickie) Madison, Chesapeake, Va., John Ellis Mikel, Jr. and Phillip Thomas of New York; two sisters in-law, Seletha Morgan, Jesup, Ga. and Swanna Jones of Atlanta, Ga.; his mother in-law, Josephine Reddish; three brothers in-law, Victor Durden and Burnise Durden, both of Jesup, Ga. and Samuel Durden of Charleston, SC; his uncles, Jimmy (Wanda) Denegal, McDonough, Ga. and Rev. Frank (Dorothy) Denegal of Savannah, Ga.; close friends, Gary Wright of Atlanta, Ga., Peggy Moore, Jesup, Ga., Cordie Daniels, Anthony Garner and Grover Randolph of Darien, Ga.; eight grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss him immensely.

There will not be a visitation. A viewing will be held one hour prior to graveside services on Monday, December 27, 2021 at 11 AM, at Sunset Oaks Memorial Cemetery, 1580 Sunset Blvd., Jesup, Ga. 31545

Everyone planning to attend services are asked to wear your mask to aid in preventing the spread of Covid-19.

Repast will be held at Hall Richardson Center immediately following services.
