Rosa Turner was born on October 2, 1936 to the late,
Lawrence and Beulah Mae Maddox-Martin in Surrency,
Ga. Rosa was a former employee and retiree of Wayneline
Furniture, Dr. Bennett's Dentist Office and as a cook at
the truck stop. She was a lifelong member of Bennett
Union Missionary Baptist Church where she served as
a Sunday School Teacher, she was the director of the
Love Center, worked in the Missions Department and
was also a lifelong member of the local chapter of the
NAACP. Rosa enjoyed reading,crafts, gardening and
praising the Lord and spreading the gospel. Rosa passed
away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Harborview Nursing
Facility following a lengthy illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years,
Fred Lee Turner, Jr.; two sons, Frederick "Ricky" and
Christopher Turnerand her siblings, Annie Mae Fabian,
Ruby Attical, MaryJennings and Lillie Holland.
Those left to cherish her memory: her son, Gregory
(Tiffany) Turner, Tallahassee, Fl.; five grandchildren,
Daijah, Porsha and Christopher Turner, Crystal Stovall,
and Trevaris (Kiele) McDaniel; one sister, Gloria (Fulton)
Lambert: a devoted niece, Melissa Thomas; three sisters
in-law, Pearl Furr, Addie Robinson and Betty Turner;
close friends, Esther Lee Perry, Dea. Don and Eliza
Darden, Dea. Cliff Davis and Catherine Jackson as well
as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
