Ruby was a beautiful and loving person. She loved her family and friends unconditionally and was always there to lend a helping hand. The simplest pleasures in life brought her joy. For example, planting flowers, watching singing shows, making crafts, or baking pies and cakes.

She leaves remarkable memories and valuable life lessons to her sons, Jayvelle (Shondy) Monroe Sr. of Irmo, SC and David Monroe of Folkston, GA; along with grandchildren: Devontae Stafford of College Park, GA, Jayvelle Monroe Jr. of Alexandria, VA, Jayla Monroe of Irmo, SC and Taylor Monroe of Irmo, SC; as well as, she leaves to cherish her memories with her siblings, Tommy Lee Maxwell Jr., Jimmie Lee (Gwendolyn) Maxwell Sr., Barbara (Martin) Monroe, and James (Lizzy) Maxwell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
