A Time To Be Born: Samuel R. Thomas was born November 21,
1954, in Jesup, GA and was the son of the late Robert and Mary Lue
Thomas.
A Time To Live: Samuel graduated from Wayne County High School,
Jesup, GA and attended Fort Valley State University.
Samuel was very physically active and loved to play football. He was a
defensive line-man in both high school and college, and he wanted to
be known as "Line backer".
A Time To Die: Samuel R. Thomas, better known as "Sammy",
entered eternal peace on Friday, November 9,2018, in Jesup, GA.
Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Thomas and Mary
Lue Thomas; a sister, Martha Ann Evans, a brother, Leroy Salem, his
paternal grandparents, Rev. Brooker Thomas and Mrs. Lizzie Thomas.
A Time to Mourn: Samuel leaves to cherish his wonderful memories:
a sister, Lucille Harris of Hyattsville, MD, a step-sister, Geneva
Williams of Lyons, GA, a brother, Tom Bolden of Poughkeepsie, NY,
several nieces and nephews, several special cousins, and a host of other
relatives and friends.
