Obituary for Sharon "Chelle" Baker (Baker)

Sharon Michelle Baker-Cooper, 45, of Glenville, Ga. passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup, Ga. following an extended illness. She was born January 18, 1976 to the late, Connell Baker and Beaufort Little. At an early age, she was educated in the liberty and long county school system and later went on to complete the Job Corps program in Brunswick, Ga. “Chelle,” as she was known by family and close friends, spent several years working at the Glenvue Nursing Home in Glennville, Ga. Her joy was her family and helping others whenever the need arose.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband, Craig Cooper; a step-son, Exzavior Murphy; her sisters, Tammy Bacon (Kenneth Hall), Felicia Adams(Eric), Patricia Dunn(Corey), Sharon Mikell (Charles), Lesley (Renae) Lowery; her brothers, Johnny Baker, James Moody Jr. (Janice) and Ronnie Cobb; brother-in-law, Lonnie Dale Cooper Jr.; sister-in-law, Shanika Cooper; neices, Lakendra, Tyreisha, Marjhonique, Jytaija, Jakiyah, Jakalyn, Jennaya, and Ava; a nephew, Sirmario; a host of aunts, uncles, close cousins and good friends.

A walk thru viewing will held on Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 4 p.m at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545

The viewing will be followed by cremation and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Everyone planning to attend is asked to wear mask and observe the 6 ft. social distancing guidelines set by the health dept. and the CDC.
