Obituary for Sonya Roberson (Jackson)
Sonya J. Jackson-Roberson, 46, of Jesup, Ga. passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 13, 1974 to Rose M. Jackson-Ingram and Freddie Jones in Jesup, Ga. Sonya was educated in the public school system of Wayne County and graduated in the Class of 1992. She then attended and graduated from Savannah State University with a Bachelor of Science. Sonya's work history included that of working in the Tri-County area, Brantley, Ware and Wayne County, as a Social Worker. Outside of working, Sonya enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
Sonya leaves to cherish her memory: her only child, Jordan E. Roberson, Jesup, Ga.; her estranged husband, Jerry Roberson, Jesup, Ga.; her loving mother, Rose M. Jackson-Ingram, Jesup, Ga.; her loving father, Freddie Jones, Jesup, Ga.; her only sibling, DeMario Tillman, Jesup, Ga.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends that will forever remember her for the person she was.
A walk thru viewing will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020 at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., followed by cremation.
