Obituary for Steven Frazier

Steven Lamar Frazier Ryals, 47, of Screven, Ga. passed away on, May 25, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup, Ga. He was born on March 20, 1974, to the late, Joseph Ryals and Loretta Frazier-Ryals in Wayne County, Ga., where he received his primary education in the public School System. Steven was a member of Greater St. James Holiness Church in Screven, Ga. and worked many years in the industrial cleaning business and was also employed with the city of Screven, Ga. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Steven will forever be remembered for the kind and loving young man that he was.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Ryals, his grandparents, Emma and Joe Ryals and Alfonzo and Maggie V. Frazier.

Those left to cherish his memory: his wife of 12 years, Valesa Gillis-Frazier; his loving mother, Loretta Frazier-Ryals; his son, Quinton Lamar Frazier; his sisters, Kendra (Joe) Turner and Elisa Ryals; his brother, Joseph Ryals, Jr. (Verna); his aunts, Patsy Dixon, Margaret Jenkins, Susie Grierson, Jeane Embry, Hazel Green and Mary Linda Ryals (Eddie Joe) Marcus; he was really close to his aunt, Renee Ryals (Tommie) Holland; his favorite and close cousins, Gwen, Tip and Marva Hillman, Eric Jenkins, Ben Dixon, Chad Doomes and Patrick Evans; his Ace, Craig Monroe, close friends, Lamar Jenkins and Lee Stevenson; respected neighbor, Bryant Long; as well as, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.

*There will NOT be a visitation/viewing prior to services. Remains will be viewed at the graveside service on Friday.

A graveside will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 @ 11:00 a.m. at Screven Cemetery, Screven Cemetery Road, Screven, Ga.


Everyone planning to attend services are asked to wear their mask and observe the social distancing guidelines set by the local health officials and the CDC.
