Obituary for Teocha Newkirk

Teocha Shanise Newkirk, 32, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at St. Joseph Candler Hospital in Savannah, Ga., following a brief illness. She was born on April 21, 1988 as a twin to her now deceased sister, Taneka Newkirk. Teocha was educated in the public school system of Edward H. White High School in Jacksonville, Fl. While living in Jacksonville, Fl., Teocha worked at Goodwill Industries and volunteered her talents to several other entities throughout the city. She was a loving young lady that loved life and lived it to the fullest. Although, Teocha did not have any biological children of her own, she simply thought the world of her babies and was the best caretaker ever. Aside from that, she loved video games. Teocha's home church was The Anointed Body of Christ.

Teocha was preceded in death by her sister, Taneka Newkirk and her grandparents, Luther Sr. and Emma Floyd and LaVerne Newkirk and Verna Floyd.

Survivors includes: her loving parents, Luther and Wanda Floyd, Jr., Jesup, Ga.; her brother, Timothy Lamar Newkirk; her sisters, Parriss Monchell Newkirk, Tequilla Ports and Tiffany Ashley Floyd, all of Jesup, Ga.; a close aunt and dear friend, Nikki Trice, Jacksonville, Fl.; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss her dearly.

A walk thru viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545, from 12 noon until 5 pm. There will also be a viewing an hour prior to services on Wednesday at Sunset Oaks Memorial Cemetery.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., at Sunset Oaks Memorial Cemetery, 1570 Sunset Blvd, Jesup, Ga.
