Obituary for Terry Vicks

Terry Lee Vicks, 66, a native of Folkston, Ga. and resident of Brunswick, Ga. passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Senior Care Center in St. Marys, Ga. He was born on March 18, 1954 to the late, Louis Vicks and Eula Mae Stokes-Vicks, in Charlton County, Ga. Terry was educated in the public school system of Charlton County and was employed with Southeast Georgia Healthcare System-Brunswick Campus for the last 25 years. Other than working, Terry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was always the life of the party.

Terry was preceded in death by both parents, Louis and Eula Mae Stokes-Vicks; his sisters, Lucille “Shan” Marshall and Carletha “Bonnie” Ramirez; and brothers, Kenneth Louis Vicks and Charles Vicks.

Those left to cherish his memory: two loving daughters, Francine Epps, Savannah, Ga. and Koresha Vicks, Brunswick, Ga.; four grandchildren, Ebony Roberson, Destinee LeCount, NaJa Blackmon and Shadon Blackmon; three great grandchildren, Narvia, Mario, Jr. and Marquis Williams; a sister, Densey Jackson, Folkston, Ga.; a brother, Lance (Natasha) Vicks, Leesburgh, Ga.; his aunts, Liza Cole and Elvera Hatchett, both of Quitman, Ga.; his ex-wife special friend, Edith Edenfield; a devoted friend, Allan Dee; other close friends, Maurice Nobles, Clifford Roberson, Tawanna Clements, Preston Murphy, Calvin Bradley, Dianna Grovner, Ceon Lamar and Debbie Bradley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.

A walk thru viewing will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m., at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 @ 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Cemetery Rd., Folkston, Ga. 31537. Remains will be viewed one hour prior to services at the cemetery.


Everyone is required to wear mask and observe the 6 ft. social distancing guidelines set by our local authorities and CDC in preventing the spread of COVID 19.
