Thelma Alnoria (Holzendolf ) Warthen, age 90, of Jesup, Georgia passed away Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 at her residence. Thelma was born on January 6, 1933 in Jesup, Georgia and was the only child of the late, Pastor Willie Holzendolf and Pearlie Holzendolf. Thelma was a graduate of the Wayne County Training School. She later went to Miami Technical College to become a Nail Technician. Thelma was a faithful prayer warrior who met with several of her friends every morning @ 6:00 a.m. on the prayer line. Thelma was the loving wife of Roy Warthen for thirty-five years, who preceded her in death.

Thelma was also preceded in death by four sons, Charles, James Edward, Willie and Tony Henderson; her baby girl, Valerie Denise Clayton and one sister, Mrs. Hattie M. Bennett.

Thelma leaves to cherish her memories: her youngest son, Leonard E. (Allison) Simmons; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Henderson; five step-children; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Reatha Mae Lazier; several grandchildren, great grands, great-great grandchildren; a devoted close friend, Deloise Brown and a host of nieces, nephews and sorrowful friends.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 4-6 p.m. at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 @ 11:00 a.m. at Love and Faith Chapel, 311 E. Pine St., Jesup, Ga. 31546.
