Warnell White Porter, went home to be in the arms of the Lord, November 18, 2019. Warnell was born in Alma, GA, August 5, 1948, to the late Bennie James and Thelma White. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Lee Porter, Sr., her daughter, Gloria Nell Elvington, her sister, Elizabeth White, and her brother, Johnnie White. She was a devoted Christian who gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a longtime member of Church of the Living Faith by God.

Warnell was raised in Alma, GA, and attended Bacon County public schools, she married Wesley Porter, May 24, 1966, and 4 children were born of this marriage. She was loving and helpful and spent many years as a homemaker and helping her husband farm, before taking a job at Twin Oaks Nursing Home, where she worked until her retirement.

She leaves to cherish her memories: three children, Helen (Kenneth) Williams, Alma GA, Marjorie (Joseph “Rip”) White, Jacksonville, FL, and Wesley Lee (Joane) Porter, Jr., Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, Josette, Mary, DeVante’, Lanier, and Jaidora; seven great-grandchildren; one aunt, Geraldine White Grant; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
