Obituary

Willie Hall, 52, an Appling County native and Wayne County resident, passed away on August 18, 2020, at his residence with his family at his side. He was born on August 24, 1967, to the late, Willie N. Hall, Sr. and Lillian Moore-Hall in Baxley, Ga.

Willie was educated in the Wayne County public school system and graduated in the Class of 1985. His work history was as an employee of Sea Pak, Claxton Poultry and Wayne Memorial Hospital. He attended Free Will Baptist Church, Jesup, Ga., along side his wife, Stephanie, until his health would no longer allow him. Willie was an avid fan of sports. He would get comfortable on the sofa with his favorite team regalia, his cap thrown atop of his stomach, and watched the game. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Atlanta Braves. Willie was always a family man, and whatever he did, he went all out and would do anything for his family. He will be sorely missed by bis family and friends.

He was preceded in death by both parents, Willie, Sr. and Lillian Hall; his siblings, Patricia, Hattie, Claretha, Diane, Robert and Leon; his niece, Catherine and a nephew, Malcolm.

Willie leaves to mourn his passing: his loving wife of two years, Stephanie Griffin-Hall, Jesup, Ga.; his adopted children, Amari Porter, Hinesville, Ga., Danisha Harrison, Atlanta, Ga., Randell (Joey) Spellman, Jesup, Ga. and Rhonda Spellman (Jawarren Tarber), Jesup, Ga.; his brothers, Darnell (Sonya) Hall, Houston, Tx., Michael (Monique) Hall, Maurice Hall, Russell (Whitney) Hall, all of Jesup, Ga. and Richard Hall of Baxley, Ga.; his sisters, Rose (Anthony,) Brown, Janice Hall, Marie Bell (Fred Holmes), all of Jesup, Ga. and Margie (Jackie) Scott of Atlanta, Ga.; his aunts, Arlie Moore, Baxley, Ga. and Sara Doris Hall, Columbus, Ga.; his in-laws, Shabbra Ann (Lonnie B.) Cummings, Atlanta, Ga., Edith (Ernest) Merritt, J.C. Wright, Sharon Robinson, Earnest McGill, all of Jesup, Ga. and Eric (Angie) Wright of Patterson, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
