Woodrow Darling, Jr., was born on April 7, 1952, to the late, Woodrow Darling, Sr. and Gertrude Darling, in St. George, Ga. Woodrow was educated in the Wayne County School system. He was formerly employed with BE&K Construction Company. Woodrow had a love for nice sport cars and enjoyed fishing, as well as, eating them.

Woodrow passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 6, 2021. He was preceded in death by both parents, Woodrow Darling, Sr. and Gertrude Darling; sister, Ruby Lee Darling; brother, Dewitt L. Darling, Sr.; nieces, Delores Nixon and Valorie M. Goodwin; and nephew, Carey Darling.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughters, Stephanie Shuman, Jesup, Ga. and Pamela Johnson, Tifton, Ga.; sisters, Leona Nixon Carter, Jesup, Ga., Queen Ester McGill, Winnfield, La., and Juanita (Eddie) Green, Jesup, Ga.; a very special niece, who was reared as his sister, Victoria (LaTari) Darling-Meredith, Jacksonville, Fl.; a close and special friend, Tawanna Short, Jesup, Ga.; his aunt, Alice (Roy) Gamble, Panama City, Fl.; 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.

A private inurnment will take place following cremation at a later date.

There will not be a viewing/wake.
